Zaknafein finally looks down at himself and touches his side, warm blood coming away on his fingers. It certainly hurts, but it's far from the worst injury he's ever had. What luck that something at all had managed to sneak it's way through his armor. He's not exactly sure what's stuck in him, but that hardly seems to matter. He actually laughs, something quiet and disbelieving, but he's still able to smile, placing his other hand on Drizzt's shoulder.
"If this is the extent of what I must pay to ensure your safety I'd endure it a thousand times over."
His attention snaps back to the wizard as he speaks, understanding naught but his name. He glances to the box, then back up to the human's face, the hand on Drizzt's shoulder holding him steady. "His name is Caesar, I believe. He is the one that took us from the Underdark. He is..." Zak is hesitant to call him trustworthy, not knowing enough to say for sure. "Different."
Looking back up to Caesar again, he regards the man a long moment before finally nodding. They are both injured, but they are both Drow. Should the human try something he won't live to speak of it.
